Softball Recap: Baldwin Makes It 15 in a Row at Home

Baldwin won against Maui last Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bears never let the King Kekaulike Na Ali'i get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Baldwin got a massive performance out of Briana Maio-Silva (Ana), who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Kekia Kaaa-Saltiban was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Baldwin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King Kekaulike only posted an OBP of .316.

Baldwin pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for King Kekaulike, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.
