Volleyball Recap: Hereford Whitefaces vs. Randall Raiders
After flying high against Perryton last Saturday, Hereford came back down to earth. The Hereford Whitefaces took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Randall Raiders on Tuesday. The Whitefaces haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Hereford started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-18.
London Baker paced Hereford's offense, picking up ten kills. Baker really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Finally,
Jynae Fletcher kept Hereford's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
With the defeat, Hereford broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-20. As for Randall, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 25-12 record this season.
