Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Nettleton

Nettleton won the last time they faced Batesville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Nettleton Raiders strolled past the Batesville Pioneers with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Pioneers are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nettleton pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Batesville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Nettleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-36 defeat against Greene County Tech on the 30th. As for Batesville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pocahontas at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th.
