Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Hornets vs. Christian Patriots

The Lincoln Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Christian Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Lincoln made easy work of Point Loma and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Pointers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lincoln never let Point Loma on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-13.

Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th. They blew past Crawford 3-0.

Christian was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-16.

Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Lincoln's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Lincoln came up short against Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
