Softball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

Fairmont fell victim to Northmont and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Firebirds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fairmont's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Northmont, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

While Fairmont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
