Basketball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. NFL Yet Academy Eagles

The Tempe Buffaloes will take on the NFL Yet Academy Eagles in a tournament on Friday. Tempe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.

NFL Yet Academy is facing Tempe at the wrong time: Tempe suffered their first home loss of the season on Wednesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Demons by a score of 55-53.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Damon Broadnax, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023. Nassir Cobbs was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Meanwhile, NFL Yet Academy suffered their biggest defeat since January 23rd last Monday. They were beaten by Leading Edge Academy - GEC 70-31. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

NFL Yet Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tempe, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5.
