Basketball Recap: Miller Grove Falls Short of Franklin County in the Playoffs

Miller Grove and Franklin County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Miller Grove had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 59-41 to the Franklin County Lions. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Lions are ranked 168th).

Miller Grove lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kamiya Moore, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Kaeslyn Benjamin, who earned 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Miller Grove and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Franklin County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Miller Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 81-22 defeat against Hardaway on the 21st.
