Basketball Recap: Germantown Christian Starts Season with Win Against Varsity Opponent

Germantown Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-24 win over Varsity Opponent. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-9.

Jonah Shreves had an outrageously good game as he went 7-for-10 en route to 15 points. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Scott, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Looking ahead, Germantown Christian will take on Liberty Bible Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next contest, a 51-46 defeat against Beacon of Hope Christian on the 18th.
