Volleyball Recap: Palmer Ridge Comes Up Short

Palmer Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Air Academy Kadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Palmer Ridge sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-5.

Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Air Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmer Ridge will square off against Lewis-Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Air Academy, they will face off against Douglas County at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
