Volleyball Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Dinuba Emperors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Emperors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

Dinuba's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Delilah Rangel, who had 12 kills. Rangel is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emmarie Rico, who had 19 assists.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Dinuba, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lompoc will host Cabrillo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dinuba, they will welcome Mission Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
