Football Recap: Out-Of-Door Academy Piles Up the Points Against IMG Academy State

Out-of-Door Academy came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the IMG Academy State Ascenders to the tune of 43-7. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Allen Clark, who rushed for 174 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Edouard Chaput, who threw for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Out-of-Door Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 373 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Out-of-Door Academy's defense and their five sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Aengus Doody, Trevor Kovatch, and Jacob Bichanich, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Despite the loss, IMG Academy State still got an impressive performance from Baker Giles, who threw for 105 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 58 yards on only seven carries.

Out-of-Door Academy's record is now 5-1. As for IMG Academy State, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Out-of-Door Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-0 victory against Faith Christian on the 3rd. As for IMG Academy State, they have also already played their next matchup, a 42-6 win against McLaughlin on the 2nd.
