Baseball Recap: Londonderry Beats Salem for Their Fourth Straight Win

Londonderry strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Salem Blue Devils as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brady Gillis looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Jet Jones was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Green, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

Londonderry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Londonderry's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Salem, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Londonderry will venture away from home to face off against Keene at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Salem, they will host Manchester Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
