Recap: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Maine South Hawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Barrington Fillies/Broncos had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past Maine South 42-40. Barrington's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barrington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Peipert, who threw for 482 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75.9% of his passes. Will Nazha was another key contributor, picking up 284 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Barrington has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-3 Warren Township and 8-3 Naperville Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.8% over those games). As for Maine South, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2.
Barrington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maine South also has no future games currently scheduled.
