Colonial Forge's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Colonial Forge Eagles vs. Riverbend Bears

After a string of three wins, the Colonial Forge Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The game between them and Riverbend wasn't particularly close, with Colonial Forge falling 59-42. Colonial Forge has struggled against the Bears recently, as their game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Riverbend's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maniyah Alston, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alston has scored all season. Charlotte Mullinax was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with four steals.

Colonial Forge's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-14. As for Riverbend, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial Forge will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Black Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Riverbend, they and the Indians will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stafford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Bears are ranked 127th).
