Basketball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southeast last Friday, MacArthur came back down to earth. The MacArthur Highlanders lost 60-37 to the El Reno Indians on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Indians are ranked 57th).

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for El Reno, their win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will host Guymon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for El Reno, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Santa Fe South at 6:00 p.m.
