Baseball Game Preview: String Theory vs. Thomas A. Edison Owls

String Theory will head out to square off against the Thomas A. Edison Owls at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. String Theory is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.

String Theory made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Olney, but they still couldn't quite topple them. String Theory blew past Olney 17-7 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for String Theory.

Aiden Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Martin Long was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Christopher Borgia was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

String Theory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thomas A. Edison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Maritime Academy Charter 4-3 on Thursday.

Thomas A. Edison's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for String Theory, their record is now 3-1.
