Baseball Recap: Hemet Comes Up Short

In Monday's Canine Competition, Hemet didn't have enough. They fell just short of the JW North Huskies by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Hemet saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Mapstead, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Alijah Briseno was another, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Hemet's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for JW North, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-14-1.

Hemet has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Cornerstone Christian on the 6th. JW North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
