Basketball Game Preview: Dos Pueblos Chargers vs. Santa Clara Saints

The Dos Pueblos Chargers will challenge the Santa Clara Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Dos Pueblos' tournament run continued when they took on Mission College Prep on Monday. Dos Pueblos lost to Mission College Prep on the road by a 69-54 margin. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Royals are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Santa Clara was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 68-47 to Hillcrest Christian.

Santa Clara's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Dos Pueblos, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Dos Pueblos against Santa Clara when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as the team secured a 67-29 win. Does Dos Pueblos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Clara turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
