Basketball Recap: Antioch Beats Cheatham County Central for Their Fifth Straight Win

Antioch came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over the Cheatham County Central Cubs. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Antioch to victory were Ta'Khyian Whitset and Jaiden Claybrook. Whitset dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Claybrook went 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Whitset is now averaging an impressive 9 rebounds per game. Giancarlo Martinez was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points.
