Basketball Game Preview: American Heritage Academy Patriots vs. Wells Leopards

Having just played yesterday, the American Heritage Academy Patriots will get right back to it and host the Wells Leopards at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 104-24, which was the final score in American Heritage Academy's tilt against Green Valley on Friday. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, American Heritage Academy got top-tier performance from Jacob Rodrigues, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rodrigues' morning made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Wirig, who posted no points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Wells unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were outmatched by Pahranagat Valley and fell 47-20.

American Heritage Academy's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
