Pocono Mountain West proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whitehall Zephyrs, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Zephyrs: they've now won five in a row.

Pocono Mountain West got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 28-30, 25-19, 19-25, 15-13.

Their offense was headlined by Hannah Bossuyt and Hadassah Talley, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Mya Olizarowicz and her 28 assists. Kaya Kaczmarek controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pocono Mountain West's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Whitehall, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pocono Mountain West will challenge Easton Area at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitehall, they will face off against William Allen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
