Basketball Recap: Ardrey Kell Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Ardrey Kell extended their winning streak to nine on Saturday, bumping them up to 11-2. They claimed a resounding 71-32 victory over the St. Stephens Indians. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Indians are ranked 322nd).

Ardrey Kell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braden Suggs, who posted 14 points. What's more, Suggs also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Dylan Morrison, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Ardrey Kell was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Stephens only racked up five.

As for St. Stephens, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. Stephens' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of John Priestley, who had eight points and nine boards, and Alan Wilson, who put up five points. Thanks to that strong game, Priestley now owns an excellent 46.7% shooting accuracy.

Ardrey Kell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-35 win against Palisades on the 6th. As for St. Stephens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-54 defeat against Alexander Central on the 9th.
