Preview: Coatesville Red Raiders vs. Central Bucks South Titans
The Coatesville Red Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Central Bucks South Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Coatesville never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Avon Grove last Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Red Devils. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Coatesville just coasted through the last quarter.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Central Bucks South at home against Pennridge on Friday as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. With Central Bucks South ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Central Bucks South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Leonardi out in front who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Leonardi hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. Corey Moore also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Coatesville to 7-3 and Central Bucks South to 9-1.
Coatesville was able to grind out a solid victory over Central Bucks South in their previous meeting back in September of 2014, winning 47-34. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Central Bucks South's Josh Adams, who rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Coatesville to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
