Football Recap: Lancaster Baptist Wins High-Profile Contest Against Desert Christian

Lancaster Baptist faced Desert Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles snuck past the Knights with a 38-34 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won eight in a row.

Peyton Langley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 71 receiving yards and one score. Those 185 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Tiago De Paula Rosa was another key player, gaining 94 total yards and two touchdowns.

Lancaster Baptist's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Desert Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-3.
