Soccer Game Preview: Sunset vs. Westland Hialeah

The Sunset Knights will head out on the road to take on the Westland Hialeah Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sunset was handed a four-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They never let South Miami get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Sunset as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Westland Hialeah's offense. They fell just short of Miami by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Westland Hialeah have struggled against Miami recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sunset's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Westland Hialeah, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2.

Sunset beat Westland Hialeah by a goal when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
