Flint River Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-6. They took a blow against Westwood, falling 70-38. On the bright side, the 38- point effort marked Flint River Academy's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Despite the loss, Flint River Academy still got an impressive performance from Cole Riner, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Mason Jones, who posted ten points.

As for Westwood, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since January 27th (when they won 72-27).

Westwood had a senior duo take command as Noah Sherman dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds and Andrew Ward dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sherman has scored all season. Wes Swilley was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Flint River Academy has already played their next game (against Rock Springs Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westwood, they will be home for the holidays to greet Deerfield-Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
