Lakewood's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Valor Christian Eagles 1-0. For Lakewood, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory Valor Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Lakewood's one-goal win came courtesy of Enzo Bennett, who's now up to four this season.

Lakewood's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Valor Christian, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lakewood will head out to square off against Columbine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbine's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Valor Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ralston Valley will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Valor Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
