Volleyball Recap: Moorpark Comes Up Short

Moorpark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Oaks Christian Lions. If the Musketeers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 19-25, 25-17.

Max Medrano was nothing short of spectacular for Oaks Christian: he had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Medrano a new career-high. Emerson Gastelum also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Moorpark's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oaks Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Moorpark will be playing at home against Oak Park at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Oaks Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Oaks Christian Lions duke it out with Bishop Diego Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Diego will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Oaks Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
