Soccer Recap: Kelloggsville Takes a Loss

Kelloggsville lost against Fruitport on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rockets came up short against the Trojans, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Kelloggsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Fruitport are ranked 141st).

Kelloggsville dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Fruitport, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Kelloggsville will head out on the road to take on Lakewood on the 21st. As for Fruitport, they will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
