Soccer Recap: Ravenswood vs. Ripley
Ravenswood was the 1-0 winner over Ripley when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils came up short against the Vikings on Thursday, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Ravenswood were already down 4-1.
Their goal came courtesy of Nic Akers, who's now up to three this season.
This is the second loss in a row for Ravenswood and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Ripley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 4-1-1 record this season.
Ravenswood will face off against Braxton County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ravenswood will need to watch out since Braxton County have now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season. As for Ripley, they will challenge Parkersburg South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
