Basketball Recap: Denver City Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Denver City can now relate to. They took a 52-33 bruising from the Dalhart Wolves on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while the Wolves are ranked 142nd).

Denver City's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Dalhart, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

Denver City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dalhart, they and Clyde will meet in a dog eat dog contest on Monday.
