MaxPreps regional high school football computer rankings: West region

Freedom (Oakley, Calif.) moved up to No. 10 in the MaxPreps west region football computer rankings came to an end this week after a win over Pittsburg, and, as a result, becomes the No. 1 team in Northern California.

Freedom overtakes St. Mary's (Stockton, Calif.) for the top spot in Northern California. The Rams had been No. 1 since De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) lost to East (Salt Lake City) in Sept.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The West region consists of teams from Hawaii, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
