Basketball Game Preview: Coastal Academy Stingrays vs. Pacific Ridge Firebirds

The Coastal Academy Stingrays will take on the Pacific Ridge Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Coastal Academy sitting on four straight victories and Pacific Ridge on nine.

Coastal Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Escondido Adventist Academy to the tune of 80-11 on Thursday. The Stingrays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pacific Ridge humbled Guajome Park Academy with a 68-35 victory. The Firebirds is also no stranger to big wins: their blowout on Friday was the 11 game they've won by 20+ points or more this season.

Coastal Academy has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.6 points per game. As for Pacific Ridge, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Coastal Academy came up short against Pacific Ridge when the teams last played back in January, falling 47-37. Can Coastal Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
