You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Southeast's strategy against Bayshore on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Southeast Seminoles blew the Bayshore Bruins out of the water with an 85-48 final score. Given the Seminoles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Bruins are ranked 626th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalen Byrd, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Byrd has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamarri Bivens, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 21 points.

Southeast was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists.they posted seven more assists than Bayshore's almost as impressive total of 13

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Matute, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Brave, who earned eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Southeast and bumps their season record up to 13-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Bayshore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Southeast has already played their next contest, a 62-57 loss against East Bay on the 5th. As for Bayshore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 89-50 defeat against Booker on the 3rd.
