Baseball Game Preview: Flushing Red Devils vs. Newcomers Lions

The Flushing Red Devils will head out to take on the Newcomers Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Flushing is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Academy of American Studies on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to the Eagles. The Red Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Flushing saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeffrey Mentle Monico, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Newcomers made sure to put some runs up on the board against Metropolitan on Tuesday. The Lions skirted past Metropolitan 10-9.

Flushing's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Newcomers, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
