Porter Ridge lost to Sun Valley last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Porter Ridge Pirates managed a 57-53 win over the Sun Valley Spartans.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thanasi Papazis, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Papazis a new career-high in boards. Cj Brockington was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-19. As for Sun Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Porter Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-52 defeat against Weddington on the 18th. Sun Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
