Softball Recap: Lone Jack Gets the Win

Lone Jack won the last time they faced Butler and things went their way on Monday too. The Mules walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mules.

Kaylee Felix spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lone Jack got a massive performance out of Tayvia Hook, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Hook has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Faith Throgmorton, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Lone Jack's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Butler, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

As of now, neither Lone Jack nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
