Princeton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hobbton Wildcats with a sharp 5-1 victory. Even though Princeton got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Deandre Meraz-Barfield was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.
Princeton hit Hobbton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Josh Coley (2), Meraz-Barfield, Johan Mayoral-Cisneros, and Yamil Marquez Hernandez.
Hobbton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Coming up, Princeton is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hobbton, they will face off against Midway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
