Softball Game Preview: Hooks Hornets vs. S & S Consolidated Rams

For the second straight game, Hooks will face off against S & S Consolidated. The Hornets will challenge the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hooks is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Hooks is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let S & S Consolidated get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Peyton Morgan's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zoey Greenwood, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Hooks' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for S & S Consolidated, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.
