Quincy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Galesburg Silver Streaks. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Quincy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Laina Bunte paced Quincy's offense, picking up five kills. Bunte got some help from Madelyn Hamby and her eight assists. Leah Knudson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Quincy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Galesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Quincy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against East St. Louis on the 30th. As for Galesburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 30th.
