Bishop McNamara posted their closest win since September 25th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Edward Green Wave, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Fightin' Irish: when they faced off against the Green Wave back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Bishop McNamara got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carley Johnson out in front who had ten digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Kirstin Curren, who had 13 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Bishop McNamara was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop McNamara and bumps their season record up to 10-12. As for St. Edward, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-23 record this season.

Bishop McNamara will head out to square off against Manteno at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Edward, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartlett at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
