Liberty gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Mountain View Toros 37-0. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on ten straight dating back to last season.

Liberty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Pico out in front who rushed for 19 yards and one TD, and also threw for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Liberty proved: they limited Mountain View to a paltry 0.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Hudson Dunn for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.9.

Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zeth Thues.
