In on of Tennessee's fiercest rivalries, No. 23 Baylor edged No. 25 McCallie 38-35 on Friday night in a back and forth battle that lived up to the hype. A late scoring drive and resilient defense sealed the victory for the Red Raiders, snapping McCallie's momentum ans strengthening Baylor's case in the national Top 25. Both teams showcased elite talent, but it was Baylor's composure in the final minutes that proved the difference.

The Hoover Vikings lost against the Green Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hoover fell 51-40 to Green.

Despite the loss, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Hershberger scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Crew Cain was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Green, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Hoover won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on December 16th. Green will be home for the holidays to greet Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
