Baseball Recap: New Lothrop Takes a Loss

After flying high against Durand on Monday, New Lothrop came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the St. Patrick Shamrocks on Saturday, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hornets have suffered since April 11th.

Zane Rumisek was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Hughes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

New Lothrop's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for St. Patrick, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

While New Lothrop had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
