Volleyball Recap: Peshtigo Comes Up Short

Peshtigo and St. Mary Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Peshtigo had to settle for second. They came up short against the Zephyrs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since September 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-17.

Camryn Brissette paced Peshtigo's offense, picking up seven kills. Brissette got some help from Skylyn Baxter and her ten assists. Athena Powers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Peshtigo's defeat dropped their record down to 25-15. As for St. Mary Catholic, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-7.

Peshtigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Manitowoc Lutheran on the 1st.
