Basketball Game Preview: Lee Academy Cavaliers vs. Our Lady of the Rosary Lions

The Lee Academy Cavaliers will face off against the Our Lady of the Rosary Lions on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Lee Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against King's Academy, but they still walked away with a 31-25 win. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lee Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mazie Tomlinson out in front who posted eight points and 16 rebounds. Tomlinson is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Collins, who scored 14 points and seven rebounds.

Lee Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Our Lady of the Rosary had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 33-29 W over Cathedral Academy on Friday.

Lee Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Our Lady of the Rosary, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.
