Basketball Recap: Ashton Peterson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ida Baker

There's no place like home for Estero, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 69-63 W over the Ida Baker Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Estero's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Peterson, who posted 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least a third of Estero's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Stohl, who earned 17 points.

Estero's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Ida Baker, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Estero wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 86-73 defeat against Palmetto Ridge on the 10th. Ida Baker has also already played their next match, a 72-41 loss against Cape Coral on the 9th.
