Volleyball Recap: Bishop Kenny Takes a Loss

Bishop Kenny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Trinity Catholic Celtics. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Celtics apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Lilian Heldenbrand paced Bishop Kenny's offense, picking up six kills. Heldenbrand got some help from Mia Ancayan and her nine assists.

Trinity Catholic was led to victory by Margaret O'Farrell and Isabella Rodriguez. O'Farrell had 23 assists and five digs, while Rodriguez had five digs. That's the most assists O'Farrell has posted over her last six contests.

Bishop Kenny's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Trinity Catholic, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Bishop Kenny has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tocoi Creek on the 22nd. As for Trinity Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Berkeley Prep on the 25th.
