Lake City and Manning are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Lake City Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Manning Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lake City is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since January 30, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 57-33 to Lee Central. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Stallions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Lake City got top-tier performance from Na'Shira Starks, who posted 16 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyra Jones, who had eight points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Marion. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Swamp Foxes are ranked 75th).

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Manning, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Everything went Lake City's way against Manning in their previous matchup back in January, as Lake City made off with a 59-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
