Softball Recap: Onsted Wildcats vs. Napoleon Pirates

Onsted came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Napoleon Pirates, falling 14-6. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Hannah Hill and Addisan Thompson did some serious damage despite the final result: Hill went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Thompson went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Hill's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Adams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Onsted's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Napoleon, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Onsted will welcome Morenci at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
